Twisted Lands Haven Street Demo

The Twisted Lands is a project inspired by the video game strategy guides I used to own as a kid. I was never much of a completionist, but before the age of endless internet walkthroughs, games would sometimes hide mysteries I can’t imagine ever finding. Who would think to go back to the boss room in the first dungeon in Tales of Symphonia before the penultimate boss? 

If you were lucky, these guide books also came with fun bonuses. The Pokemon Emerald strategy guide was basically a fully functional pokedex.

I hope this project can capture some of the excitement that came with looking forward at the exciting adventures you’re soon to have. 

All artwork featured in this Zine was created by hand by me from wire, beads, and bones.
